SENEGALESE DELEGATION INSPIRED BY EFFECTS OF RWANDA’S IMIHIGO


Today, MINALOC officials received ten members of Senegalese delegation led by Mrs. Magatte Wade SARR, Adviser in Organization and Change Management at the Organization and Methods Bureau of the Presidency of the Republic of Senegal, and Permanent Secretary of the Priority Results Monitoring and Evaluation Unit

The overall purpose of their visit is to share the administration's experience in Rwanda vis-à-vis performance management; monitoring and evaluation system, from planning to the reporting system.

The Minister of State Hon. Harelimana Cyriaque together with the Director General for Local Government Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Mr Ningabire Yves Bernard shared with them the experience of administrative decentralisation in Rwanda and the effects of Imihigo (performance contract) that derives from the Rwandan custom.

 

Mrs Magatte Wade SARR expressed gratitude for Rwandans for hospitality and unity, indicating that they are inspired by commitment and collaboration of Rwandan leaders and people as they work together towards desired country’s development.

 

 

The delegation congratulated the leaders of Rwanda for nurturing Rwanda as a proud of Africa. “When we see Kigali, we feel proud to be Africans.”

The delegation members will visit different projects in districts to witness the outcome of Rwanda’s administrative system specifically the planning and implementation of Imihigo and their effects.
